DSR Taiko Berhad is a large producer of Durian, a perennial fruit grown in SE Asia. We do not include them as we are wary of perennials that are generally grown in areas that used to be old growth forest. Even though they are perennials, the climate impact of cutting down the existing forest is far more negative.

PT Asia Sejahtera Mina is an Indonesian company that sells seaweed in Indonesia, largely for human consumption. Seaweed is an important climate solution as it grows very quickly and can be continually harvested.

Maxindo Karya Anugerah sells root-based snacks in Indonesia. We included them for a closer look to see if they could be included as a perennial staple company, but as the harvesting of the roots involves fundamentally killing the plant, we exclude them.

FT Eterindo is an Indonesian producer of palm oil that also uses part of their harvest to create biodiesel. While we do consider biodiesel derived from waste products as a climate solution, and palm oil is technically a perennial crop, we exclude them because how destructive the palm oil industry has been in removing old mangrove forests to plant its plantations.

While Cassava is technically a perennial plant, to harvest it and make tapioca kills the plant because it is derived from the cassava root. Given this, we exclude Premier Quality Starch.

Guan Chong is a Malaysian producer and processor of cocoa beans for chocolate. While cocoa is a perennial staple, the expansion of the industry often comes at the expense of natural forests, which is not beneficial from a climate perspective.

Long An Food Processing is a Vietnamese processor and trader of nuts, many of which are perennials. Because nuts can provide calories every year without needing to harvest the tree, we include them as a climate solution.

Axelum Resources group is a Filipino manufacturer and distributor of coconut products. While coconut is a perennial fruit, the expansion of the industry often comes at the expense of wild, natural forests, which move us backwards from a climate perspective.

JP Foods is a Malaysian producer and processor of cocoa beans for chocolate. While cocoa is a perennial staple, the expansion of the industry often comes at the expense of natural forests, which is not beneficial from a climate perspective.

SAI Tech is a Singapore based company that has many projects in development, but none are commercial as far as we can tell. The closest to a climate solution is a device that could allow computer server computation to operate more efficiently. They are also working on small scale nuclear reactors.

Gemilang is a Malaysian manufacturer of buses that help enable the climate solution of mass transportation. They also make an increasing part of their revenue from electric buses.

Perak Transit owns multiple public transit hubs in Malaysia, thus making it easier for people to choose mass transit instead of driving in individual cars.

Everwoods Green Resources is a farming company in the Philippines that generates a majority of its revenue from traditional agriculture, so we therefore exclude them. They have limited cultivation of bamboo for use in products, which is a climate solution.

SBS Transit is a Singapore based provider of public transit that owns over 200 bus lines and a subway system, thus enabling individuals to transport themselves far more efficiently than in cars.

PT VKTR is an Indonesian manufacturer of electric buses, electric motorcycles, and charging stations.

ATP 30 is a Thai provider of mass transit bus services in Thailand. By providing bus and shuttle service, they reduce the demand for single-occupancy cars on the road, a far less energy efficient mode of transport.

Epicon is a Malaysian provider of bus services that enables people there to move from point A to point B with fewer fossil fuels than if they were driving in a car.

West Coach Station is a Vietnamese provider of bus transportation in Vietnam. They enable people to get around in a far more energy efficient manner than using a car.

ComfortDelGro is a multinational vehicle fleet owner. Based in Singapore they own over 15,000 vehicles. Some of which are buses, but others are taxis and other forms of individual transportation. Because we do not know how much from each, we exclude them.

Bangkok Expressway and Metro is a state-owned company that has the right to build and operate a series of expressways and rail lines in and around Bangkok. They do not disclose how much revenue they make from their expressways vs. railways, so we exclude them.

LafargeHolcim is a Moroccan cement producer that notably does offer lower-carbon green cement alternatives. But these products still only represent a tiny fraction of their revenue in comparison to their traditional cement products.

Cartier Saada is a Moroccan company that makes a majority of its revenue from preserving fruits that come from perennial sources like olives and tree fruits.

Miniere de Touissit is a Moroccan mining company that mines for a number of critical minerals for the energy transition like lead and zinc, but they also mine for non-critical minerals like lead and gold, so we exclude them.

Ciments du Maroc is a Moroccan cement producer. While they do have some innovative approaches to sustainability like running their CO2 emissions through an algae reactor, they do not actually make any alternative or low-carbon cement mixes.

Jet Contractors is a Moroccan construction firm. While they do operate a business line dedicated to building solar farms, they generate the majority of their revenue from constructing buildings and highways, neither of which are climate solutions.

Managem is a Moroccan mining company. While they do mine for multiple critical minerals for the energy transition like cobalt, zinc, and copper, they also extract other non-critical minerals like gold, meaning they do not pass our mining filters.

TAQA is a Moroccan electrical utility. While they do use some solar and wind in their generation mix, they use about 10x more coal, leading them to fail our utility filters.

Zellidja is a Moroccan lead smelter that has been operating since the 1940's that also generates revenue from provider copper, another critical mineral for the energy transition, to markets in Europe.

Huge Group operates out of South Africa. They are involved in many industries with a minority of their revenue coming from their renewables and batteries business.

Al Khair River operates in land restoration, a climate solution, but they provide no online information to verify this, so we exclude them.

Ellies is a solar company in Southern Africa, that helps homes and businesses get stable electricity production through solar and battery systems.

Despite its name, Renergen seems to only be investing in natural gas extraction and distribution.

Euro-Cycles is a Tunisian manufacturer of bicycles. While it is assembling more electric bicycles, these still seem to be a small portion of their sales, so we exclude them.

Eveready East Africa is a Kenyan provider of car and individual batteries. It is expanding into LED lights and solar, but has not seemed to make up the majority of revenue from climate solutions yet.

Mpact is a cardboard manufacturer in South African with over 50% of their pulp coming from recycled paper, thus reducing the need for new trees to be used in cardboard creation.

Bushveld generates a majority of its revenue from producing vanadium, which is not a critical mineral for the energy transition.

Copper 360 is a South African copper mining company, a critical mineral for the energy transition.

Umeme Limited is an electrical utility in Uganda that generates revenue from expanding the grid, a key climate solution.

CIE is an electrical utility operating in the Ivory Coast. They do generate their own power and some is from fossil fuels, so we exclude them.

Metair is a South African provider of energy storage systems for homes and buildings, serving multiple markets.

Equatorial Energia is a Brazilian electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Ecopetrol is an energy company in Columbia that generates a majority of its revenue from oil. It also makes biodiesel and grid expansion, both climate solutions.

Afluente Transmissao is a Brazilian electrical distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude it.

Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina is a Brazilian utility that generates 100% of its electricity from hydropower that does not require the burning of fossil fuels.

COELCE is a Brazilian distributor of electricity. As they do not own any generation, we exclude them.

Enel Americas is a major electrical utility in Latin America. It fails our utility filter because it does not generate all of its electricity from carbon-free sources.

Pomifrutas is a Brazilian producer of apples a perennial crop.

Bicicletas Monark is a Brazilian bike manufacturer. We exclude them because while more bikes is better for climate, they do not generate most of their revenue from electric bikes which more generally replace fossil fuels for commutes.

Empresa Regional is a Peruvian electrical utility. Because it only owns transmission lines and not generation, we exclude them.

Ampla Energia is a Brazilian electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Empresa Distribuidora is an Argentinian electrical utility. They do not provide a breakdown of how much of their electricity is generated from clean sources, so we exclude them.

All Cosmos Bio-Tech sells fertilizers in Malaysia. We no longer consider fertilizers, even bio-organic ones, a climate solution, as they do not help prevent food waste, so we exclude them. Not to mention most of their fertilizers are for the palm oil industry, which is highly environmentally destructive.

Enel Distribucion Peru is a Peruvian distributor of electricity. Because it owns no generation, it does not meet our utility filters.

Molibdenos y Metales is a Chilean mining company. While it does produce molybdenum, a critical mineral for the climate transition, it also makes rheunium, which is not, so we exclude them.

Enel Distribucion is a Chilean electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Southern Peru Copper is a Peruvian copper mining company, a critical mineral, but it also mines many other minerals, including coal, meaning we do not include it.

Sociedad Transmisora is a Chilean electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Empresa Distribuidora is a Argentinian electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Compañia de Transporte is an Argentinian electrical grid maintenance and expansion company, a key climate solution.

Equatorial Maranhao is a Brazilian electricity distributor. Because it does not own any generation, we exclude them.

Wuhan Sanzhen is a water distribution and wastewater processing company in China, neither of which are climate solutions.

Zhongmin Energy is a Chinese developer of wind and solar projects. However, we only consider pure play developrs for this list and as Zhongmin also develops biomass projects, which we do not consider a climate solution, we exclude them from this list.

Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection Group is a sewage processing company in China. While important, processing wastewater is not a climate solution.

Chongqing Water Group is a water company in China that distributes tap water and processes wastewater, neither of which are climate solutions

Jiangxi Hongcheng is a Chinese water company that distributes tap water and performs waste water treatment, neither of which are climate solutions.

While Tongwei does provide silicon cells for solar production it generates a majority of its revenue from selling animal feed which is not a climate solution.

Canmax Technology makes a majority of its revenue from selling products for clean rooms and protective films for your phone. None are climate solutions.

Guangxi Guiguan Electric PowerCo is a Chinese owner of mainly zero-carbon power plants like hydropower. But it does own coal plants meaning it fails our utility filter and is therefore excluded.

Beijing Capital Eco-Environment Protection Group is a Chinese water distribution and wastewater company. As they do not offer products that reduce the energy used to distribute water and wastewater treatment is not a climate solution, we exclude them.

Wuhan Tianyuan Environmental Protection is a Chinese waste management company that generates a majority of its revenue from processing wastewater which, while important, is not a climate solution.

Wuhan Nusun is a Chinese landscaping company that designs and builds landscapes for businesses and apartment complexes. Landscaping is not a climate solution as it is not restoring land to its natural condition.

LingNan Eco&Culture-Tourism is a Chinese landscaping company that also offers eco-tours, neither of which is a climate solution.

Beijing Originwater generates over half of its revenue from processing waste water from cities and businesses. While important, waste water processing is not a climate solution.

CEC Environmental Protection is a Chinese water company that distributes water to businesses and then treats the waste water. As they do not make products that reduce the emissions from water transportation, we do not include them.

Hunan Zhongke Electric makes a range of electromagnetic devices that are used in steel manufacturing. While valuable, these devices do not necessarily lead to a reduction in emissions from making steel, so they are excluded for not being a climate solution.

Palm Eco-Town generates over 90% of its revenue from doing landscaping design for homes, apartments, and buildings. Landscaping is not a climate solution and is different than restoring land to a natural state.

Hunan Kaimeite is a Chinese supplier of various industrial gases. While they do distribute some GHG gasses like CO2 and CH4 for commercial use, they do not share how these gases are sourced (likely from fossil fuels). They also distribute many other types of gases meaning a majority of their revenue comes from other products than climate solutions.

While Chengdu Xingrong does engage in distributing water, they do not make products the improve the energy efficiency of doing so and their waste to energy business represents a small part of their overall revenue

China Longyuan is an owner of multiple power plants. While they do generate a majority of their revenue from wind, they generate 25% from coal, thus failing our utility filter.

Beijing Orient Landscape generates a majority of its revenue from managing industrial waste. They do not report their methane capture nor their circular economy activities so we exclude them.
